"ABSTRACTIONS"
International Award-winning Monoprints

by Painter and Master Printmaker VICTOR GOMEZ
After a couple email exchanges, the day has finally come when I am able to visit this noble, calm, almost timid middle-aged man who’s art had really struck my sensitivity as I occasionally came across some images over the internet. As I slowly approach the door of his printmaking studio he respectfully welcomes me at the door. I immediately realized I was in the presence of a true master and, as I had thought, there was so much more to discover about him. Indeed, the next hour and a half spent in Victor’s company revealed my deepest sense of respect and admiration.

His amazing collection of 'monoprints' were spread on a large central table where I immediately recognize the sophisticated forms and earthy refined color harmonies… and to my greatest surprise, I discover a canvas on a wall with some initial strokes of accurately selected lines and colorful harmonies. I rapidly requested he posed for a photo for I wanted to ‘seize the moment’ of this unexpected discovery and share it many times in the future. >> Complete Article

LOUIS VUITTON COMMISSIONS 131PROJECTS

***131 Projects
Louis Vuitton Bal Harbor opened its doors once again to it's exclusive clientele for a night to remember.
Exotic graffiti, high-end design and big names gathered this time to commemorate Stephen Sprouse's expressive line of design. This event echoed those taking place around the world, in Paris with Kanye West's original red shoe design, in Madrid and in New York.
A live 'action-painting' show commissioned for the occasion created another '131 sought-after original' collaboration by 131projects and Johnny Robles this time to be donated to a charity organization. Many champagne bottles and photographic clicks spiced up the evening.

METAL WORK MASTERS

It all started when I was remodeling my home around a year ago. I met this father and son company through a third party trying to fix some countertop installation problems. To make the story short, I discovered these wonderful people which I presently count among my dearest friends.

Talk about creating things...

They are capable of creating, as their slogan says: "Limitless possibilities of custom design stainless steel, aluminum and bronze" in just about anything you could imagine: walls, benches, receptions, ceilings, maquettes, tables, exterior and interior doors, window sills, decorative incrustation in wooden floors, any type of signs, rails for staircases of all kinds, shapes and materials. I particularly love the stainless steel metal with the wooden stairs, it seems to be a perfect fit of material and function... Click on the video below for samples of their work.

I highly recommend them both as professionals as well as wonderful people. You can further check their work at friendlywelding.net

ALL THINGS ART, GRAPHIC and DESIGN...

Project 35 'Vice City 4' by 131Projects Artist, MFA Visual Effects.
South Florida's Miami becomes the focus of international art every year and, more recently throughout the year with renown and 'less-known' events and expositions.

Talented artists of all nature and origin scroll the streets of Miami everyday, each portraying the fruits of their distinct imagination and many with amazing stories to tell...

Some, armed with Pentax and Nikons, shooting the world with passional stills and others simply remain contemplative spirits occasionally reflecting their sometimes sad existence in quiet literary expressions.

Maybe the most interesting are all of the above, yes, but mainly the 'in-between', the less known: Musicians, Dancers, Painters, Sculptors, Dreamers and Drummers, Engineers and Plumbers... who share a common existential legacy of maybe one day becoming recognized for their talents and intense passions, expression of this multi-cultured melting-pot we live in: yes, diverse, yet sometimes rude, obstinate and rebellious... but amazing and never dull.

These are, as well, some of the expressions of their art.
